video production

Video is one of the most human ways to show up online. There’s nowhere to hide, and that’s exactly why it works. When it’s done well, it feels like being in the room with someone. You get their energy, their warmth, the way they pause before they say something that matters. That’s not something a caption can replicate.

But most video content doesn’t feel that way. It feels rushed, or generic, or like it was made because someone said you should be doing video, not because there was something worth saying. I think about that a lot when I’m producing something. What is this actually for? What do we want the person watching to feel? And how do we make sure it feels like it came from a real place?

I’ve been producing video content for a while now, across very different contexts, and what they all have in common is that I care about the finished product. Not just that it looks good, but that it feels right.

What I can help you with:

Concept and planning, filming guidance, editing, short-form content and reels, highlight reels, summary videos, YouTube SEO, TikTok content, and breaking longer recordings down into smaller, purposeful clips that actually get watched.

From my portfolio:

OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation | Annual Ordination Videos: Every year I take over two hours of ordination footage and turn it into something the ordinands, their families, and the wider OneSpirit community can walk away with proudly. That means a full edited video, a highlights reel, and shorter bite-sized clips, each one crafted to hold the weight and meaning of that day. Some years that’s four hours of raw content across two ceremonies. It’s detailed, careful work and it’s some of my favorite work I do.

The Serenity Practice | YouTube Channel: I run the YouTube channel for The Serenity Practice, which has given me a strong working knowledge of YouTube SEO, shorts, and what actually performs on the platform.

Travel With Kails | Personal Travel Channel: I produce my own travel video content under Travel With Kails, where I’ve built an audience of over 2,500 on TikTok. Running my own channel has taught me what makes people stop scrolling, what keeps them watching, and what makes them come back.

Why work with me:

I work in iMovie and CapCut and I understand both the creative and strategic sides of video. I know how to take a long piece of footage and find the story inside it. I understand YouTube SEO, short-form content, and what performs across different platforms. And I bring the same accessibility-first mindset to video that I bring to everything else, because good content should be reachable by everyone.
