I’m Kailee, a storyteller, traveler, and naturally curious person with a mind that rarely switches off. I’m always searching for the good in places, people, and fleeting moments, noticing the details, the feeling of a place, and the way people express themselves.
I help women doing meaningful work communicate it clearly and with impact.
My work sits at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and digital presence. Whether it’s shaping a website, refining messaging, or building a campaign, I focus on helping your work come across in a way that feels true to you and connects with the people it’s meant to reach.
I’ve always been drawn to how people make sense of the world and how we express what matters to us. That curiosity led me to teach English in Italy and China after completing my TEFL certification, and somewhere in those classrooms, I realized that communication, really good communication, is one of the most powerful things you can give someone. That realization never left me, and it still shapes how I approach my work today. I care about communication that feels real, not forced. Clear, not overcomplicated. Something that reflects who you are, rather than something you feel you should be saying (especially in a world of AI).
A lot of that perspective comes from how I move through life. I travel to understand myself and the world more deeply. I write to make sense of my thoughts. I pay attention to the small, fleeting moments that often say the most. Those experiences have shaped how I think about connection, storytelling, and what it means to communicate something honestly.
Today, I’m the Communications and Marketing Manager at OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation, where I built the communications function as a team of one. Alongside that, I run Smart Communications, working with independent practitioners like The Serenity Practice and Lauren Gabrielle Foster. Before all of this, I spent two and a half years in inclusion and accessibility for a governmental organization in Washington D.C., which is why accessibility sits at the heart of everything I make. I’m American, and I’ve been based in the UK since 2022.

Finding the real Italy
I moved in with an Italian family, taught their children English, and found an Italy I had never been shown. It changed how I feel about where half of me comes from.

Smart Communications
Investing in myself
I started Smart Communications, alongside my fulfilling work at OneSpirit, because I love working one on one with women and helping them build their businesses, and I wanted more of that. Since then, I’ve taken on two clients, The Serenity Practice and Lauren Gabrielle Foster, and here we are.

I’m especially drawn to working with women who are building something thoughtful, purposeful, and genuinely meaningful, and want to share it in a way that feels aligned and confident. If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you!
Let us wander, wonder, and create something beautiful together...
