meet me:

I’m a travel enthusiast, amateur photographer, storyteller, and all-around curious soul with a mind that never switches off. I’m always searching for the good in places, people, and fleeting moments, and I find it through the thrill of the journey. I travel to understand who I am. I take photos to remember the days I felt most alive. I write to remind myself that my thoughts are my allies.

This space you’ve stumbled onto isn’t your typical travel blog or photo journal. It’s a canvas, and my mind is the brush, always shifting, always creating. It’s where I give shape to the life I’m building: entirely my own, unapologetically creative, and forever evolving.

Though life hasn’t always been gentle, especially in my 25 years on this planet, this blog has become my beacon. It shines a light on the beauty, honors the profound, and makes space for joy. Whether you’re here for stories, snapshots, or a bit of soul-searching, you’re welcome.

I graduated from Arizona State University in 2020 with a B.A. in Global Studies, along with studies in History, Women and Gender Studies, and two years of Italian. My love for culture and human connection has taken me far, from teaching English in Zhongshan, China, to living and working in Rome, Italy, where I fell completely in love with the rhythm of life there.

Since then, I’ve returned to Italy several times — spending summers in our family’s countryside home in Poggio Nativo, and visiting more than 50 towns across the country. I’ve also traveled through more than 25 countries across Europe and Asia, and I’m just getting started.

At my core, I’m someone who feels deeply and dreams big. My brain moves fast (sometimes too fast), but it’s always in search of what’s next, the next story to tell, the next path to explore, the next version of myself to meet.

Thanks for being here. Let’s wander, wonder, and create something beautiful.

if you know me at all, you know I put a lot of effort into my birthday each year. today, I turned 28, and I am so happy to be alive. this world is hard, and probably always will be, but life can be so beautiful. it should be beautiful. for everyone.

my journal entry for the day says it all -

“This morning, I woke unchanged,
No trace of “28” upon my skin.
No wisdom weighing heavier, no kinder touch,
No deeper empathy—just me, as I’ve always been.

For years, I’ve walked this path,
Sure of who I am, or who I’ve longed to be.
And now, I stand, wholly myself—
The only one of me that’s ever been, or will ever be.

How beautiful, this truth we hold:
No one else will ever wear my soul.
How sweet this life, this singular gift—
To know myself, to feel this shift.

I know my path, I see my way,
I know the self I’ve grown today.
More myself than ever before,
This is 28—and I’m glad to stay.”

popped over to Norway to celebrate the 32rd birthd popped over to Norway to celebrate the 32rd birthday of this random guy that I met on the internet because what even is life 🦋
Summer 2021. I’m floating around the world, wi Summer 2021.

I’m floating around the world, with Rome as my base. I had already lived in Rome at least 5 times, but something felt different. I no longer saw the charm. I started noticing the “dirtier” parts of the city, the men staring me down, the unsafe feeling I got when I would return home late. So, I picked up my kindle to find a getaway and I landed in Scotland, reading Outlander (duh).

Fast forward to March 2022 - I’ve applied to the University of Edinburgh for grad school, to spend a year in a country I’d never been too. I didn’t actually want to go back to school, but I wanted to try the UK out for a bit. I took a final trip to Rome and popped over to Edinburgh for two days.

Two days in the city and I’m in love. Not just with the city, but with a boy I met right before I had to get on a train to London, home bound the next day.

Who meets someone over a 2 day trip to a random country and thinks they’ll stay connected? We did. We very much did. We talked everyday for 3 months.

After 3 months back in FL, I finally returned to Edinburgh. I had a wild 24 hours of travel, so I tried to get my head on straight since I had plans to meet with this boy that night. The day I returned to Edinburgh, we made plans to go out for drinks in the city.

We never ended up going out for drinks, but stayed in and set up my tiny ass flat instead. We sipped on wine, ate Indian food (probably too late at night), and listened to the Chuck Jackson record he got me as a “welcome back to Edi” present.

And that was it. We have stayed together everyday for 2 years now. Exactly like that first night, just excited to be in each other’s company.

I cannot imagine a life without you in it. Being such an independent person and making the choice to love someone, to allow someone into my life, has been a true privilege because you’re the person. I wouldn’t do it for anyone else. I wouldn’t want to.

Here’s to 2 years pal, thanks for everything - from the headaches caused by laughing to the blisters caused by adventures. I love you truly.
