Lauren Gabrielle Foster | Freelance Communications Support
Overview
Lauren Gabrielle Foster is a nomadic interfaith minister, author, and spiritual guide, and the writer behind Everyday Magic: The Sacred Ordinary on Substack. Since May 2026, I’ve managed her presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Substack, alongside her website and SEO.
The Challenge
When we started, Lauren had real audiences in the right places, but her channels had gone quiet:
- Instagram had lost 9 followers in the previous 60 days, with just 14 interactions from 743 views
- Her Facebook page had 1,716 followers, already ahead of the benchmark for similar accounts, but zero interactions in the most recent 28 days
The people were there. What was missing was consistent, strategic activity.
My Approach
The first month was setup: a full review of every platform, best practices, and a refresh of her website. From month two, we moved into a steady, platform-specific posting rhythm.
- Every post is drawn directly from Lauren’s own published writing, so it always sounds like her
- Facebook and Instagram run on a consistent twice-weekly rhythm
- LinkedIn reaches the senior professionals already in her network
- Substack Notes and cross-posting point readers back to her writing
Results (first three months)
- 22.5K combined views across Facebook and Instagram
- 839 content interactions across both platforms
- 99 new followers, reversing Instagram’s earlier decline
- Facebook: 16.6K views and 526 interactions, from a page that had gone quiet
- Instagram: a 620% increase in publishing volume and 291 post interactions
- Substack monthly views reached 3,955, up 1,481 on the previous 30 days
- £0 spent on advertising
Substack followers also grew from 1,199 to 1,579, though most of that came from moving an existing mailing list onto the platform rather than new discovery.
More recently:
- 98 Facebook interactions in 28 days (September 2026), from a page that had none in the month before we started
What This Work Represents
Growth here is a byproduct of consistency and care. These first months were about showing up steadily, giving an existing audience a reason to stay, and creating the conditions for new people to find her. Lauren’s accounts came back to life in her own voice, without a penny spent on ads.
