There’s a lot of content out there that sounds the same. You’ve probably noticed it without being able to say why. It reads fine, it’s warm enough, but you forget it the second you scroll past, because nobody in particular wrote it.
I want your words to sound like someone actually wrote them. That someone isn’t always you, though, and it doesn’t have to be. Sometimes you want it to come from you, sometimes from your organization, and sometimes from a third party like your comms manager. There are lots of ways we can do this.
| The approach | Who’s the author | How it works | Works well for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Written as you | You | I write in your voice and it goes out under your name, as if you’d sat down and written it yourself. | Website copy, newsletters, LinkedIn posts |
| From your voice notes | You | You talk, I write. Send me voice notes or have a chat with me, and I’ll shape what you said into a finished post that still sounds like you. | Blog posts, Substack, social captions |
| Written as your organization | Your team or brand | One voice that your whole community recognizes, whoever on the team is behind it. | Charity websites, appeals, course pages |
| Written by me, for you | Me, as your comms manager or writer | Sometimes a piece lands better coming from a third party. I write it under my own name, talking about you and your work. | Staff features, interviews, guest articles |
| Written together | Both of us | You start it, I shape it. We co-write, or I edit what you’ve already drafted so it’s ready to go out. | Essays, reports, anything half-finished |
Whichever way we go, it takes time and a lot of listening. I ask questions. I notice the words you naturally reach for, what you get excited about, and how you explain your work when you’re not overthinking it. Then I write from there.
What I can help you with:
Website copy, blog posts, articles, newsletters, long-form essays and interview-style pieces. I do a lot of research before I write anything, so the finished piece sounds like you.
Can you hear the difference?

There’s more published work, from toolkits to campaign writing, on my portfolio page.
Why work with me:
I’ve been writing professionally across nonprofit, governmental, and individual client work for years. I’m comfortable with everything from short-form social captions to long-form essays and campaign copy, and I bring the same care and attention to all of it. I write in your voice, not mine, and I don’t stop until it sounds right.
