Finally, after living in Rome for four months, a whole pandemic, and a year passing, I took a tour of the Vatican Museums. As both a photographer and art history fanatic, this was the field trip of my dreams. A small thanks to the pandemic, as we had a small tour (four people and a lovely guide). She taught us the small details that go missing when you’re simply strolling through the halls of the Vatican. Each room is full of art inspired and collected by various Popes that have passed. Each room is more inspiring than the next. The museums feature legends such as… Raphael, Michaelangelo, Botticelli, da Vinci, Caravaggio (my personal favorite), to name a few.
