meet me:

I am a travel enthusiast, amateur photographer, and so much more with a mind that never switches off. I am always seeking the good in life, relishing the challenge of the hunt. I travel to discover who I am, using photography as a means to capture my moments of joy and writing to reassure myself that my thoughts are indeed my allies.

What can you expect from this lightning-speed, travel-obsessed, photography enthusiast? This space you’ve stumbled onto is neither a conventional travelogue nor a photo journal. It’s a canvas and my mind is the brush; it can be anything I want it to be at a given moment. This is the beauty of the life I am crafting – it is 100% mine, always fluctuating, and brimming with creativity.

Even though life has dealt me some painful blows during my 25 years, this blog is my beacon – it illuminates the good, showcases the beautiful, and celebrates the profound. Here, you’re welcome to enjoy my pictures, draw inspiration from my journeys, and join me in actualizing my dreams.

I graduated from Arizona State University in December 2020 with a B.A. in Global Studies, reflecting my love for traveling. I further studied History, Women and Gender Studies, and two years of the Italian language. Beyond academics, I’ve lived life on the move – having called two other continents, Europe and Asia, my home.

My professional career includes a transformative three-month stint teaching English in Zhongshan, China in 2019, which completely reshaped my perspective on life. I lived in the heart of Rome, Italy, for four months at the end of that year, working as an au pair and falling in love with the country. I’ve since returned twice more, living in our family home in Poggio Nativo in the summer of 2021 and returning to Rome for a month in the spring of 2022.

My wandering feet have carried me to 18 countries across two continents, including 40 different cities and towns across Italy. And in case you’re wondering – no, I’m not done yet. There are many more corners of the world to explore. So, join me on this journey of discovery and endless adventure.

have always had a hell of a lot going on in my mind. I swear it (my brain) works at lightning speed, always trying to think of the next best thing. Sometimes even I can’t keep up with myself. I am someone that seeks out the good, no matter where I can find it. I travel to find myself, take photos to remember the days I am happy, and scribble down my thoughts to remind myself that my mind is on my side.

if you know me at all, you know I put a lot of effort into my birthday each year. today, I turned 28, and I am so happy to be alive. this world is hard, and probably always will be, but life can be so beautiful. it should be beautiful. for everyone.

my journal entry for the day says it all -

“This morning, I woke unchanged,
No trace of “28” upon my skin.
No wisdom weighing heavier, no kinder touch,
No deeper empathy—just me, as I’ve always been.

For years, I’ve walked this path,
Sure of who I am, or who I’ve longed to be.
And now, I stand, wholly myself—
The only one of me that’s ever been, or will ever be.

How beautiful, this truth we hold:
No one else will ever wear my soul.
How sweet this life, this singular gift—
To know myself, to feel this shift.

I know my path, I see my way,
I know the self I’ve grown today.
More myself than ever before,
This is 28—and I’m glad to stay.”

popped over to Norway to celebrate the 32rd birthd popped over to Norway to celebrate the 32rd birthday of this random guy that I met on the internet because what even is life 🦋
Summer 2021. I’m floating around the world, wi Summer 2021.

I’m floating around the world, with Rome as my base. I had already lived in Rome at least 5 times, but something felt different. I no longer saw the charm. I started noticing the “dirtier” parts of the city, the men staring me down, the unsafe feeling I got when I would return home late. So, I picked up my kindle to find a getaway and I landed in Scotland, reading Outlander (duh).

Fast forward to March 2022 - I’ve applied to the University of Edinburgh for grad school, to spend a year in a country I’d never been too. I didn’t actually want to go back to school, but I wanted to try the UK out for a bit. I took a final trip to Rome and popped over to Edinburgh for two days.

Two days in the city and I’m in love. Not just with the city, but with a boy I met right before I had to get on a train to London, home bound the next day.

Who meets someone over a 2 day trip to a random country and thinks they’ll stay connected? We did. We very much did. We talked everyday for 3 months.

After 3 months back in FL, I finally returned to Edinburgh. I had a wild 24 hours of travel, so I tried to get my head on straight since I had plans to meet with this boy that night. The day I returned to Edinburgh, we made plans to go out for drinks in the city.

We never ended up going out for drinks, but stayed in and set up my tiny ass flat instead. We sipped on wine, ate Indian food (probably too late at night), and listened to the Chuck Jackson record he got me as a “welcome back to Edi” present.

And that was it. We have stayed together everyday for 2 years now. Exactly like that first night, just excited to be in each other’s company.

I cannot imagine a life without you in it. Being such an independent person and making the choice to love someone, to allow someone into my life, has been a true privilege because you’re the person. I wouldn’t do it for anyone else. I wouldn’t want to.

Here’s to 2 years pal, thanks for everything - from the headaches caused by laughing to the blisters caused by adventures. I love you truly.
